The Wharf Tavern in Aston, Pennsylvania first opened its doors on October 9, 1974. After much training in the food service field at the Concordville Inn in Concordville, Francis J. Brzezicki, Jr. and his wife Margaret Brzezicki decided to test the waters and ventured out on their own and opened the Wharf Tavern. The Wharf had a modest beginning with a menu of only ten items and a staff of ten. Since then the Wharf has seen many changes including the addition of custom wall paintings featuring different ports created by beloved friend and past patron, Paul Berner, the opening of a second dining room and the additionof a package store. Ralph and Tom Scanlan owned & operated the tavern from 1994 to 2004. After selling the Wharf in 1994, Frank & Peggy still remain loyal customers and would like to congradulate the new owners on their first year anniversary and wish them much continued success.
